My time in the military gave me a deep appreciation for those with whom I served.

Through my work with the Seattle Seahawks, I see the many opportunities that pro-teams have to give something back to service members. I'm committed to using those opportunities to make a difference for both veterans and those currently on duty.

Of all the service-connected programs I have worked with, Camp Patriot is the most meaningful to me because they help restore the person's sense of outdoor adventure and challenge.

Military:
As a pilot in the U.S. Coast Guard I flew C130s, Dassault Falcon jets, and H60 Jayhawk helicopters. From 1994-96 I was the Air/Sea Rescue Operations Officer for coastal Oregon and Washington. I retired as a Commander in 1996 after serving for 22 years.

Civilian:
I am a Seattle native, received a B.A. Degree in Industrial Education from Washington State University and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of North Carolina. During a period of Reserve duty from 1982-84, I owned and operated an agricultural flying service in Fort Scott, Kansas where we started our family. My wife Marty and I have a son, Dan, and a daughter, Shannon. 2009 is my 12th season as Vice President of Community Relations for the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders FC.
