Pat Kenny

I became involved with Camp Patriot after hearing Micah Clark speak at my Rotary meeting in 2005. His passion and sincerity overwhelmed me and I knew I had found where I wanted to be doing service work for the remainder of my life here on earth.

I believe that it is easy to say that we support our troops. But I think it is time that this country put its money and efforts where its mouth is. We need to be doing something, actively. I chose to put my efforts into Camp Patriot because I know that I am personally involved in "Giving Back To Those Who Have Givern."

I have also observed first hand the impact that what we are doing has on the injured Vet. I want them to be able to enjoy the outdoors as much as I am able to do. We will aid them in adapting their injuries to the outdoor situation.

Military Service:
I am a United States Marine, and served on active duty from 1968-1974 as an aviator. I was designated fixed wing and rotary wing, single and multi-engine. I did one combat tour in the Republic of Vietnam during 1970 and part of 1971, then a year with the infantry in 1972. My last two years on active duty were with the Naval Air Training Facility in Pensacola FL as a flight instructor in the T-28.

Civilian Life:
I am married. My wife, Nancy, and I raised four daughters. After 43 years, we now have seven grandchildren. I have been in the Financial Services business since 2001. Prior to that I was a Grain Merchant with Cargill, Inc. for 15 years. I worked in many areas of Agribusiness from 1974 to 2001. One of the highlights of those years included being in Libya in 1978 developing agricultural projects in the Sahara Desert. Another project was working in and out of Amman, Jordan from 1982 to 1984 on agricultural feasibility studies.
